There is a lot of buzz regarding Gautham’s next project. Recently we have reported that Gautham has discussed a script to Arya and the actor expressed his interest and agreed to do the film.
But before approaching Arya, Gautham narrated the gangster script to Telugu star Rana Daggubati. But unfortunately the actor couldn’t give his dates for Gautham and project was put on hold in Telugu. Later to this the director decided to make the film in Tamil, so he approached Arya and Karthi.

1. Tamanah: The actress has been striding with successful colors as her previous year was commendable. This year she paired with Karthi in ‘Paiyaa’ and Ilayathalapathy Vijay in ‘Sura’. She is looking ahead for a big year as she has more releases in Tamil and Telugu.
2. Trisha: The girl has become quite serious about her career now. This year was a literal surprise for the fans as she appeared in unforeseen characters. Her ‘Jessie’ (Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya) and ‘Nisha’ (Manmadhan Ambu) roles were fantastic. Hope she continues choosing such roles in mere future.
3. Anushka: The hottie made her comeback in Kollywood with ‘Vettaikaran’. This year, she had a big time hit ‘Singam’ that had a significant character for her. She is now pairing with Silambarasan in ‘Vaanam’ and Vikram in ‘Deiva Magan’. She is expected to sign for Kamal Haasan’s next film ‘Thalaivan Irukiran’.
4. Nayanthara: Nayanthara made great waves not alone in Tamil film industry, but in Malayalam and Telugu as well. She received best feedbacks for her stunning performance in ‘Bodyguard’ and Telugu movie ‘Adurs’ and ‘Simha’. Her role as ‘Chandrika’ in ‘Boss Engira Baskaran’ was a special delight for the audiences.
5. Amala Paul: The fille from God’s own country appeared in a controversial film ‘Sindhu Samaveli’ and later shot to bigger fame with ‘Mynaa’. She is fondly called as ‘Mynaa of Kollywood’ and has some bigger offers ahead including couple of big tickets with Vikram.

4. Boss Engira Baskaran: The film deserves a special title of ‘Best Entertainer of 2010’. A complete fun-riot!!! Director Rajesh deserves special mention for making a commendable family entertainer.
5. Kalavani: A commendable start by Sargunam and quite a different film. It appeared a special surprise for the audiences as it crossed the expectation levels. The film yielded best results in box office for the distributors and theatre owners.
We know that Shankar is remaking the Bollywood blockbuster ‘3 Idiots’ into Telugu and tamil with Mahesh Babu and Vijay in lead. But we hear there are still changes being made in the remake resulting in unintended snag.
Sources say that director Shankar is making lavish changes to the original script to make the film look new to south Indian audiences. Shankar is believed to have said that the Hindi original was seen and widely liked by over a quarter of Tamil, Telugu audience and so to present the same film again one should make crucial changes to the original so that the audience see that as a new film independent of the Hindi original.
Accordingly a major change perceived to be made by Shankar is the introduction of a second heroine. Kareena Kapoor was the only heroine in Hindi and Ileana will be doing that in the remakes. Now the news of a second heroine has generated some more interest in the film. Who will be the new girl and who will she romance with? Srikanth or Jeeva.
Who the new girl would be? Actress Tapasee is rumored to be the second heroine in '3 Rascals'. We'll update again once it is confirmed.
Actor Arya, who was drawn into bad light by FEFSI president V C Guhanathan after the controversial speech he delivered in a recent awards function, has found new adversaries. This time, it is the Hindu Makkal Katchi (HMK).
The Hindu Makkal Katchi(HMK) has objected to the actor’s derogatory speech against Tamil cinema and people. They protested against Arya by placing a Garland of Slippers on the portrait of him. They also shouted slogans against Arya.
Recently in an award function at Sharjah organized by a Malayalam channel, actor Arya claimed that acting in Tamil was much easy and did not require any kind of hard work. But acting in Kerala cinema industry, requires hard work and a home work from an actor.
The HMK activitists have demanded Arya to seek apology. They also threatened to ban Arya’s upcoming films if he fails to apologize.
Anna Durai, the General secratry of HMK said, “Arya should apologize for his ‘irresponsible’ and ‘baseless’ speech about Tamil films and actors. Arya who earns Crores of rupees from Tamil film industry has delievered such derogatory speech about Tamil industry. If he fails to apologize, we will extend our protestion to ban his upcoming Tamil films ”
Call it publicity or moral policing, HMK has been finding easy preys in Kollywood. HMK recently gave a boycott call against veteran film-maker Ramgopal Varma’s recent film Rathacharithram because the lead actors Vivek Oberoi and Surya toured Sri Lanka for the film shoot, defying the diktat of the South Indian Film Artists’ Association.
Earlier, HMK, along with few other fringe Hindu outfits, had campaigned against actress Kushboo’s remarks on premarital sex, and Mallika Sherawat and Shriya Saran for their indecent attire in public functions.
Actress Hansika Motwani has made the headlines last week for having secret dinner with Ace choreographer Prabhu Deva in Hyderabad. There are also reports that both of them were blasted by Nayantara in the public.
While Prabhu Deva and Nayantara stayed numb, Hansika has come out by saying that Prabhu sir is like a guru to me and people who spreads such rumors doesn’t have any work.
She has tweeted “There are some people spreading rumours about me and Prabhu sir! Whoever is spreading all this is clearly out of work? Why can’t they get it right that he is an elder brother to me and I’m a little sister to him!”
“How can anyone create such nonsense when there is not even one percent fact in it? These kind of fabricated stories depress me a lot,” added Hansika furiously.
